Over 30 Years of international experience in the environmental and nuclear fields

EnviroRAD Ltd is an environmental consultancy with special interest in radioactive contamination of the marine and terrestrial environments and in radioactive waste management.

Elevated levels of mainly artificial radionuclides are to be found in the environment as a result of authorised liquid and gaseous discharges from civil, nuclear and medical facilities.
Certain other industries in the energy and mining sectors can also concentrate naturally-occurring radioactive material (NORM) during their exploration and processing of natural resources. Other accidents and incidents, some on a global scale, have also contributed to the radiation background.
Dr Joe Toole is the director of EnviroRAD Ltd and has worked in the environmental and nuclear fields for some 30 years. He has experience in academic research, in the nuclear industry and also in the private sector where he developed and validated radioactivity and radiation measurement services for application in a wide range of UK and overseas projects.
Throughout his career Joe has published extensively his research and project work [publications list] and has presented many scientific papers at national and international conferences [presentations list].
